Sarah Meehan Reporter- Baltimore Business Journal A 130,000-square-foot hotel planned for the intersection of Fleet Street and South Central Avenue will be known as Baltimore Harbor East Hyatt Place. Ken Finkelstein, a Bethesda real estate developer, announced plans in November to redevelop the former Bohager warehouse into an eight-story hotel. But Finkelstein declined to name the hotel brand at the time. Architecture firm Cooper Carry's Alexandria, Va., office is designing the project. A spokeswoman for the firm confirmed the hotel will be a Hyatt Place. It is scheduled to open in May 2014. The hotel will include 208 rooms, a green roof, a 100-seat dining room and an indoor pool and gym. There will also be 14,200 square feet of retail space and parking for 60 cars below the hotel. Cooper Carry is aiming to get the 130,000-square-foot building LEED certified.
