STATE BUDGET CUTS APPROVED

Two days into a new fiscal year the state Board of Public Works has approved cuts of approximately $77 million from the state budget and also approved about $7 million in fund transfers. Both actions are based on less-than-expected revenue projections. The cuts add up to about 0.5% of the total state budget.
