2014 GENERAL ASSEMBLY SESSION RECAP WEBINAR
MH&LA will host a free member only webinar with a recap on a wide range of lodging industry issues that were considered or enacted during the recent 90 day Session of the Maryland General Assembly. The webinar will be on Tuesday April 29 at 10:00 AM. Details on how to register to follow soon.

As Co Chairs of MH&LA’s State Legislative Committee, Jim and Monroe chaired a conference call every Monday morning during the General Assembly Session. On the calls, Committee members provided strategic direction for the MH&LA lobbying team’s advocacy efforts in the General Assembly.

REMINDER — GOLF OUTING AND FISHING TOURNAMENT WILL BE IN THE FALL
The  Golf Outing and Fishing Tournament will be on Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina in Cambridge. More details will follow in future updates and will be posted on the MH&LA website.

GAIL SMITH – HOWARD SET TO RECEIVE MARYLAND’S TOP 100 WOMEN AWARD

RECORD STATE CASINO REVENUE LAST MONTH
Most of the $77.9 million in revenue came from Maryland Live! at Arundel Mills which had $61.8 million in revenue from 4,322 slot machines and 177 table games. March 2014 revenue was $7.9 million at the Hollywood Casino, $4.2 million at Ocean Downs and $4 million at Rocky gap.
