MARYLAND CASINO REVENUE WAS UP AGAIN LAST MONTH
Maryland’s four casinos brought in $66.8 million in November. Excluding Rocky Gap Casino, that opened in the spring, year-over-year casino revenue in the state was up 47%, or $20.4 million, for the month. Almost all the increase came from live-action table games.

NEW WEEKEND TRAINS HAVE GOOD RIDERSHIP NUMBERS
More than 1,200 round trip passengers traveled on the new MARC weekend train service between Penn Station in Baltimore and Union Station in Washington DC on Saturday. On Sunday there were 2,465 boardings — 1,235 riders to Washington and 1,230 riders to Baltimore.
STATE BUDGET REVENUE PROJECTIONS ARE REVISED UPWARD
The state Board of Revenue Estimates has approved new revenue estimates for FY 2014 and FY 2015 that are up by $42 million. The General Assembly’s Spending Affordability Committee will meet this week to develop recommendations for Governor O’Malley who will, in turn, submit his budget in January 2014.
