To register, email company name with participant name(s) and e mail(s) to MARYLAND CASINOS HAVE RECORD REVENUE IN AUGUST Revenue at Maryland’s four casinos was $71 million in August, a new record due in large part to $53 million in gross revenue at Maryland Live. Excluding Rocky Gap Casino, which opened in May in Western Maryland, year-over-year casino revenue in the state is up about 50%. POST LABOR DAY SCHOOL START STUDY TASK FORCE TO MEET The first meeting of the State Task Force to Study a Post Labor Day Start Date for Maryland Public Schools will be on September 17, 2013. MH&LA staff will attend the meeting and also continues to facilitate efforts of an ad hoc work group to secure favorable Task Force recommendations. EXPEDIA AND TRAVELOCITY AGREE TO A NEW PARTNERSHIP Expedia and Travelocity have entered into an exclusive, long-term strategic marketing agreement, whereby Expedia will power the technology platforms for Travelocity’s existing websites in the U.S. and Canada, while providing Travelocity access to Expedia’s supply and customer services. BWI PASSENGER COUNT LAST YEAR WAS HIGHER THAN DULLES AND REAGAN Baltimore-Washington International/Thurgood Marshall Airport was the nation's 22nd busiest airport in 2012, surpassing Dulles Airport (#23) and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (#25). Last year passenger volume was up 1.25% at BWI, up 4.22% at Washington National and down 2.89% at Dulles.
