The “Stars of the Industry” shone brightly at the annual awards luncheon, held at the Loews Annapolis Hotel on February 27th. Following the delicious lunch, nominees were recognized in a variety of categories: Administrative, Bellman, Food and Beverage Employee, Guest Service Agent, Maintenance/Engineering, Room keeper, Sales and Marketing, Security Officer, Allied Member, Manager/Supervisor, Hotelier, (one for both full service and limited service properties) and the Stevan Porter Emerging Leader Award.
Theresa Keysar with Warfield and Sanford Elevator, and Bob Allen, General Manager of the Renaissance Baltimore Hotel, did a terrific job as Co-chairs and emcees for the event. Watch out Pat and Vanna!
Property awards were also given to hotels for outstanding achievements for: Community Service, Guest Relations, Special Event, Good Earthkeeping, and the Prism Award for Diversity.
Prior to the awards luncheon, our Allied members took the opportunity to showcase their services and products in the annual trade show.
Many thanks to all of our members, whose participation and efforts make this luncheon a heartwarming event each and every year. Congratulations to all of our “Stars of the Industry”, those who were nominated, and those who shine every day, when no one is watching.
