Three boutique hotels in Baltimore joined the Ascend Hotel Collection, part of Choice Hotels International’s top tier of properties.
The Harbor Magic Hotels — the Inn at Henderson’s Wharf, the Admiral Fell Inn and Pier 5 Hotel — were the first Baltimore properties to join the 80 independent hotels in Silver Spring-based Choice’s Ascend collection.
Their paid membership in the collection gives them access to benefits that many independent hotels do not have, namely greater visibility and marketing opportunities. As part of the Ascend collection, the Baltimore hotels participate in Choice Hotels’ (NYSE: CHH) customer rewards programs, they receive support for software and management systems, and they have visibility on the Choice Hotels website.
However, the hotels will maintain their own look and feel. At this point, no renovations are planned for the properties. The hotels are still owned and managed by Meyer Jabara Hotels, a hospitality company that owns and operates 20 properies in 13 states.
